Sinfrontal® clears the nose and head
Sinfrontal® is a homeopathic medicinal product for the treatment of respiratory conditions. The fields of application derive from homeopathic principles. These are: sinusitis.
Triggers for sinusitis
• Viruses transmitted by airborne infection
• Bacterial infections
Symptoms and causes
The common cold is mostly caused by irritation and swelling of the nasal mucosa. This can lead to a runny or blocked nose. Colds typically occur when the nasal membranes are dry or irritated and therefore airborne pathogens can easily settle in the nasal cavity: the body defends itself against viruses by secreting mucous. Hence a runny nose. A blocked nose makes it hard to breathe. Our sense of taste and smell may also be affected. Frequent sneezing is another sign of a cold.
What causes the feeling of pressure in the forehead and cheeks, behind the eyes and in the back of the head? How can this be avoided?
Inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis) arises as a result of a cold, often due to mucosal swelling and narrowed sinus passages - a system of narrow ducts connected to the nose. The most commonly affected areas are the maxillary sinuses, followed by the ethmoid sinuses and the frontal sinus. Inflammation of all paranasal sinuses is referred to as pansinusitis. Swelling of the mucous membranes prevents the drainage of mucous from the nose, meaning the pathogens cannot be carried out of the body. This can lead to mucous congestion in the sinuses and cause inflammation, which may at times be very painful. Frequent side-effects of such infections are:
• headaches that get worse when bending or sneezing
• watery eyes
• feeling of pressure in the forehead and cheeks, behind the eyes and in the back of the head
• general fatigue
The first rule when treating sinus inflammation (sinusitis) is to avoid significant fluctuations in temperature. These stress the inflamed sinuses and may even increase the pain. In the acute phase, it is sometimes useful to wear a headband or hat.
As with all types of colds, drinking lots of fluids is very important to ensure the flow of mucous. Steam inhalation can also help: heat and moisture calm and moisturise the infected mucous membranes. Generally, rest is an important remedy for sinusitis. Avoiding effort and getting plenty of bed rest will allow the body to activate its defences and fight the cold.
Relief for paranasal sinuses

In acute conditions, dissolve 1 tablet in the mouth every half to one hour, at most 12 times a day.
